A stylized streetscape in which pedestrians appear suddenly, experience life for a few moments, and then vanish forever.
The non-player characters in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are meant to be background noise. They begin their life & begin to walk, becoming ambient decoration in the simulated city. Sometimes they encounter another person & strike up a conversation we’ll never hear, then resume their aimless journey. When the game has no further use for them as decoration, they simply disappear.
Normally you’re not supposed to see these characters as they pass into and out of the world, as it happens beyond the range of the player’s sight. However, by hacking the game’s camera I was able to fly to this zone where life begins & ends.
