Cities in Flux [2010]

Distortions of landscapes from the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I pushed the limits of the game’s ability to simulate reality until it could no longer maintain its illusion, and the game became an abstraction.

I created an interactive version for the exhibition “D-Pad: directions in play/ art design” on Feb. 3rd 2012 in Toronto, in which participants could generate their own distorted landscape images.
